1) Limit Your Damage:
Don’t buy the giant surplus candy bag if you don’t expect trick-or-treaters, and know you’ll be the only one eating it.
Instead, satisfy your own Halloween candy fix by buying a single bar (or two)
2) Don’t Get High on You Own Supply:
If you bought giant candy bags for your trick-or-treaters, good for you. This DOES NOT give you license to eat half the bags before the kiddies come knocking.
If your Halloween ends with lots of candy in your home (from your kids or work or school), you have 3 main options:
Eat it ALL! But you’re probably not down for that if you’re bothering to read this post.
Make the candy super hard to get.
Tie multiple plastic bags around the candy, stash it in a place that you can’t reach at a momen't’s notice like the trunk of your car or in a high drawer or that way wayyyy back corner of your closet you hate leaning into.
Store it in the freezer. Put a giant candy bag in the freezer. Take out one piece at a time when you have a craving. By the time you wait the 10-20 minutes for it to thaw, you might not want it anymore
