Using the E.M.S Framework to Make the Most of Our Wellness Assets
If you have EVER been out on a dance floor (or in the mirror) shaking what your momma gave you, you know something about using your assets. Whatever you have access to that can help you reach your goals is an asset. When it comes to achieving wellness goals, all sorts of assets can help us shift habits in sustainable ways. But, it can be hard to make sense of them all.
Check the video above to walk through how the E.M.S framework makes it easier to reach wellness goals across the big 4 habit categories (eating, moving, sleeping and managing stress).
What is E.M.S?
When you’re working toward a wellness goal, ask yourself which of these assets you bring to the table:
Enjoyment (Loving the skills you practice)
Mastery (Knowing how to practice certain skills)
Social Support (People who help you practice your wellness skills and keep you accountable)?
Discussion Questions:
Can you name 3 assets that make it easier for you to practice healthy habits & reach your wellness goal?
