When it feels like everything’s out of control, our wellness habits might be the one thing we can take hold of to make our little piece of the universe as pleasant as possible.
I know you’re working sooooo hard to bring the out the best parts of yourself! So, I added another month of FREE goal-setting calls. Okay, now let’s get into the lesson for the week. In the #ByteWellnessWednesday workshop, we covered the 4th step in building new wellness habits: setting triggers for your wellness practices so your habits become automatic.
A.P.PL.E Wellness Triggers
Watch the vid above to see how to use the A.P.PL.E framework to set wellness triggers for each of the 4 big habits: eating, moving, managing stress and sleeping. Here’s a brief run-down of A.P.PL.E:
A for Alarm (i.e set a phone or watch alarm to work out at the same time everyday)
P for People (i.e tie relieve stress with breathing exercises every time you see your accountability partner)
PL for Places (i.e lying in bed triggers sleep because you don’t do anything else in it)
E for Events (i.e add a salad to the rest of your plate at mealtime)
Makes sense? What’s your version of A.P.PL.E for your wellness goals?
Don’t forget to talk through the week’s discussion questions below.
Discussion Questions
What are the wellness habits you practice automatically without even thinking about it? (washing hands, brushing teeth etc).
Let me know if you have any automatic wellness habits? How do you trigger them?
